Volunteer Opportunities

"There is no greater gift you can give, than the gift of time." - Nelson Mandela

Before in-school volunteering, you must complete these steps:

We appreciate the gift of your time and make the following commitments to our volunteers:

#1 - We will start and end on time. Your time is valuable and we are committed to respecting your time.

#2 - There will be a representative at each event to greet you and introduce you to others. Being new to a group or volunteer opportunity can be uncomfortable; we've got you covered!

#3 - Directions will be clear and concise. Each volunteer is needed to fulfill a specific goal. We will make sure that is clearly communicated either upon arrival or before your event or volunteer opportunity.

#4 - Your time will have a positive impact on our students, families, teachers, or staff. Your PTA only commits to events and efforts that meet the priorities of the academic year. This means all volunteer activities in the 2023/2024 school year will involve one of the following: Teacher Appreciation, Building Community, Effective Communication, or Fundraising to meet the needs of Belvedere.

Field Day

Belvedere's Field Day out in the sunshine is a teacher lead tradition of the school year that brings much fun to all students, caregivers, parents, and staff alike!

Date: June 6 (Rain date: June 7)

Field day gives kids the chance to celebrate the school year coming to an end, show some class pride, and spend a day outside being active.

Check out the sign up link below to volunteer prep equipment, purchase supplies, run stations while cheering on the student body.

Recess Monitors

Was RECESS your favorite time in school when you were a kid?

Help our teachers have extra time for the things they need to get done by volunteering for recess monitoring!

Click below to view the select days where the PTA provides supervision for the children at recess.

This is a great way to get to know our BES community and enjoy the best part of the day with the students!

We are thankful for all the parents volunteer efforts this year and look forward to helping the teachers out at the next academic year!

Book Fair

The Belvedere Book Fair is one of the school lead traditions of the year!

The week long book fair helps to provide reading resources for the school and a fun community event for the children.

Parents are needed to help set up the book fair, assist children to select their books during their media time, and complete the sale at check out.

Another opportunity is to help out at the mid-week community night book fairs held in the fall and the spring.

Till next year's book fair!

After School Clubs

Do you enjoy helping children learn through fun and extra-curricular activities?

After school clubs are back at Belvedere! It takes a team effort to make our clubs a success.

We need 2 parents during each club day to help supervise students and help with dismissal from clubs. You can volunteer to help for a single day or a whole session!

Volunteering for after school clubs is a great way to get involved in the community and help our children continue learning beyond the classroom!

After school clubs have come to a close this year and thank you to the caregivers who assisted with the after school club tasks!

Garden Committee

Do you have a love for the outdoors or for tending garden beds?

This team helps maintain the gardens at the front of the school, near the grade school playground, and helps develop plans for future green space. Time commitment is as big or small as you would like.

Every set of hands helps and sharing your love of nature will continue the momentum of the "Green Space Goals" we have for this school year!

Join us with gloves and a trowel on hand!

Walk-A-Thon

Do you love to cheer, move around, and be a light of encouragement?

The outdoor Walk-A-Thon is an annual event that helps raise money for the school and gives our students a chance to show off their school spirit!

Help make Walk-A-Thon a success by supervising our students on the field, cheering them on, handing out popsicles, and making sure students have water!

This is a caregiver favorite, volunteer spots fill up quickly, so be sure to sing up early!

Till next year's Walk-A-Thon and festivities!
