For Students:

#1 Think of friends and family who would be excited to support you and your school!

#2 Reach out to those friends and family. Ask them to go to www.belvederepta.com and sponsor you!

#3 When they make a donation they can leave you a message. We will share it with you on Race day!

#4 Thank your family and friends and share with them all the fun you had on race day!

1. Do children get sponsored by the lap or by a flat donation?

   • Children are sponsored based on a flat donation.

2. How do I get my sponsorship to the right child?

   • On the donation form there is a space to put the name of the child you are sponsoring.

3. What if I want to sponsor more than one child?

   • The form will allow you to sponsor up to 3 children. Simply fill out the first child's name and the space for the second child will appear on the form! Once you fill out the second child's information, the space for the 3rd child will appear on the form. 

4. How will my message get to my student?

   • We will be delivering messages to students on Walk-A-Thon day. Each student who receives a message will get that message in a note in their classrooms before they walk.

5. What if I have more than one child? Can my donation count towards all of them?

   • Yes, one donation can be split between two children. You can indicate that by listing both children on the donation form.

6. When will the students walk?

   • Students will walk during their normal recess time on November 10th.

7. Do the children receive anything for walking?

   • All students will collect bracelets for each lap they complete.

   • All students will get a popsicle once their walking is completed.

   • Students who have messages left for them on the donation page will receive those messages on a card on Walk-A-Thon Day.

   • Students who raise $50 or more will get a trip to the principal's prize box.

   • The top 50 students who raise the most money will get to attend a very special Donut Breakfast where they will hang out with Bella the Bobcat, eat donuts, have their picture taken for the yearbook and other fun surprises!

   • Classes will compete by grade to see which class can get the most donations. One class per grade will receive a visit from the treasure chest!

   • Classes will each choose a theme for race day. One class will be awarded the title of "Most Creative Theme" and will get a special prize!

8. What will the funds be used for?

   • Funds raised this year will go towards field trips, assemblies, classroom enhancements, the creation of outdoor learning spaces and more! 

9. Can I come cheer on my child while they walk?

   • Yes! Parents and friends will be able to view the walk! You must check in at the office to get a badge and then you may proceed to the field. Please remember to bring your Drivers License or you will not be allowed to spectate. 

10. What does my child need to bring on race day?

    • Your child should wear athletic shoes, dress in layers and bring a water bottle.

11. Can I volunteer to help on Race Day?

    • Yes! Parents may volunteer on Race Day! Sign Up here to volunteer. Spaces are limited. 

12. When will we know which classes raised the most money?

    • Fundraising results will be announced on Facebook, via Parent Square and on Morning Announcements the week of Nov 13th! If you are not signed up for Parent Square fill out the Parent Square sign-up form so you don't miss any communications! 

13. My child raised $50+, when will he/she get to visit the Principal's Prize Box?

    • Principal's prize box will have visits on Tuesdays and Fridays each week beginning on October 27th! Students will get a ticket from their teacher about 30 minutes before dismissal!

14. When will my child get their message from their sponsors?

    • Messages from sponsors will be delivered to student in their classrooms the morning of Race Day!
